MY BUTTERFLY INSPIRATION....

Compliments of Pinterest....

I am linking this post to:
http://ppp-makeitmonday.blogspot.com/

Hello all,
I posted a picture of the back of my son's senior teeshirt.  I know it has been done and done and done,
but I still think it is cool when they list all of the student's names inside the numbers.
 Fourteen more school days until graduation! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK.  This set of cards was inspired by a card I saw in a recent edition of PaperCrafts "Get Inspired"
I wish I could remember the page number, but I have temporarily misplaced the magazine.
Hope you like them.  I love how they all turned out.  But I think I am partial to the Red, black and white.

I posted a little note for you to read:

Happy Mother's Day!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello friends,
I know I haven't been here in a while.  I'm still crafting a little bit, but as we inch closer
to graduation time it will get better and better.  :)
My quote is compliments of Pinterest.  I will always be there to support my son, but I certainly won't always be able to fix it.  Sometimes it helps just knowing you don't have to face things alone.
I woke yesterday morning thinking I smelled something burning and stupidly thought, that must be my next door neighbors house.  I jumped up and rushed downstairs after a few more minutes of drifting in la-la land...where I discovered my teenager in the kitchen cooking breakfast.  Unfortunately, he hasn't cooked it in a long time (for a full breakfast I would guess possibly last year this time) and he thought those eggs would take much longer than they actually did. Uh, he had to trash the first attempt and start over. But eventually we sat down to a full breakfast together.  It is just the kind of thing to make you smile.  He made me a card.  I like that part the best.  He even found a beautiful poem to put inside.  I am a sentimental old gal.  :)
OK, well, on to these cards.  I really have been a little stressed lately.  I just didn't have a lot of time to focus on cards as I would like to, so I tried my best to keep them simple.  My good friend Helen over at
crocheted these gorgeous flowers and I LOVE them!  Of course the main problem is once
I use them, they are GONE!  OK, Helen, I need some more!!!!  :)
That is why I selected these beautiful papers and decided to make them 5 1/2X 5 1/2 squares.
I added a brad, embossed the flower stem  and greeting and I was done.
The first card was a special order, but I just can not take too many of these any more!
So it is the only one of it's kind I made this time (very unusual for me)
I forgot to shoot the inside of all of them.
Love, Mom
The papers were all beautiful flocked, glittered, embossed...mostly DCWV.
Thanks for yor visit,
Hugs,
More CAS Note cards: flowers...
Compliments of Pinterest...
My thought for the day.
I keep trying to make sense of it all, but perhaps there is no sense to be made of it...
Hello crafty friends!
I wish I could say there was an end in sight for these simple cards, but at the moment that is a negative. More on the way...
I am going to Scrap That in 4 short days, and I hope to complete many, many cards in one day. I have been designing one- cutting paper to make 4-6 of that design and bagging them up to be put together later. Saturday will be the "later".
What is Scrap That- you may ask? It is a Craft store that does all day cropping, scrapbooking, card-making, crafting from 8am until 11 or 12 imdnight. Usually 11pm. I never get there early because there is always something else to do on Saturday. But I will plan to arrive early this time. I am so very much looking forward to it.
Well, I traveled around the internet a little and a new challenge blog was brought to my attention. I love the blogs that allow you to Do You- and still post. That is why MIM is a big favorite of mine. I want to join in on the other challenges, but right now I just can't wrap my brain around some of them. But I am definitely going to get back to the Tuesday Trigger. I love that one.
where you can go to take the "Use it up" pledge. Go check it out.
I am "using" on these cards today. These flowers by K & Co. have been in my stash for a while and that is another reason why I decided to start these quick cards. I did not take the pledge yet because I can't promise to post monthly, but eventually I will take that pledge.
These cards are linked to the following sites:
Here they are...another installment....
The stem is embossed using Stamp It Up and the quote is also S.I.U. I think the embossing folder is a QuicKutz, but it could also be Sizzix. Not sure. After making these quick notecards, I am in love with these frame embossing folders.
Thanks for dropping by for a visit....
Another quick note card...
Compliments of Pinterest...
Aren't women amazing! I have quite a few amazing women in my life, and I am thankful for them all!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is not the last of the quick note cards. But I am working on some different designs these days. By my calculations I will need to make at 200-300 cards for my friends, family members and service workers. Yes that's right. I will also be giving some cards to Doctors, nurses and technicians that have been helping me or my son out for the past eons of years. I have so many ideas in my head, but it takes forever to transfer into reality. And no, I didn't say teachers because the only teachers that have really been helpful (besides my sister) are male, and I don't know if they would like the note cards...

Last night I worked on a machine I bought a few years ago. I don't think they are even selling it any more. The Letterpress. It's pretty cool, but very messy. So you will see some of those cards coming up soon. I got tired after I made about 60 cards. That was only 4 designs that I duplicated in different colors. I hate the ink you are supposed to use with it, so I just used regular dye ink by Stampin' Up. I wish the templates were metal so I could use them in my Wizard.

My cards for today...

Easy, breezy...?

Man, do I know about this!...

Peace.

P.S. Thanks for stopping by!...

Another Note card and a Thank You...

Compliments of Pinterest....

All great advice....

Hi there! Another short post. I am continuing with a couple of the cards I already told you about.

I recently hosted a Stampin Up party. Motivated by Stampin Up products (of course) and also by the fact that this is Sale-abration time. Sad but true. The party was a great success! Better than I ever imagined. Thanks to all of my friends, old and new, co-workers and family that supported this idea. :)

This first card is the thank you I made to give them for coming out. I was very happy with how it turned out. I actually had to make a few more and used a K & Co. butterfly because I ran out of time, and it was just quicker. I did not photograph any of those and they were all given out. The thing that probably took me the longest was threading those darm buttons! I made about 25 cards, so that was 75 buttons!

I made the card design below from one I saw on the internet because it looked quick! And it was.
I don't think I changed much. Maybe the sentiment, the type of heart and the color of the first one. So this is not my design!

I like this....Thanks for your visit! Hope to see you again soon!
