I could leave it for PawwPadd, but I don't think she is writing on her blog right now. What is a newbie to do?

Award from Helen!
Hi! I got a blogger award from my new friend Helen. I am going to post the awards, but I am not able to follow through with everything else because you are supposed to give this award to 10 other people. Unfortunately I don't know 10 other bloggers to give it to. Well, we shall see what happens now. :)

These are cards I made for a card swap I attended. Someone actually passed out cards at that swap that had to be made by a grade school child. I thought it was just ridiculous! I would photo it and post it, but I do not want that card on my blog. There were several people in the class talking about it, but no one said anything to the crafter. : (

Get Well Card for WH and others

You just would not believe how much trouble I had posting this card! For some reason I was totally unable to sign into my account. It took me a very long time to gain access, and lots of frustration. But finally!!!

This card was double printed, cut out and popped up from very old Printshop software. I was unable to use my current Printmaster software. It was for a co-workers 25th anniversary on the job. Everyone liked it anyway. We are always our own toughest critics. The patch in the background is a copy of our Unit patch.

This is a baby card for my niece who had a baby earlier this year and I just got around to sending her a card and gift. Yes, she actually named the baby "Hapi". (go figure?...)

This card is for our co-worker who has been over in Iraq for 10 months. We wanted to send her some cheery wishes to make her smile, and let her know we are thinking of her.

This card was cased from "Card" magazine-Vol4 issue8, August 2009, pg 53, card by Michelle Spinas. I know you are supposed to change at least 3 things when you CASE a card. I changed the butterfly -I have two different shapes. Put the sentiment at the bottom (hers was a "Missing You" sentiment higher up on the card). Left off the rhinestones. Used a different cuttlebug folder. Changed the colors of the buttlerflys, and the card base. Last but not least, I changed the card size.

Time for some Thank you's
This is a baby shower card I made last night for a shower I am attending today for a co-worker. The colors for the shower are blue and brown. It helped me decide. No rubber stamps were injured in the making of this card.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
paper: American paper company
embellishments: satin ribbon, K & Company baby giraffe, buttons , word stickers
tools: cuttlebug embossing folder , corner punch
These cards were made as "gift" thank yous for my niece's baby shower. I was helping out her mom. They are not elaborate at all, but we thought if was a useful thank you card, as it will be empty except for the removable tag that gives the thank you for attending and explains the card is to be reused. What do you think about that?
paper: American paper company
embellishments: various types of ribbon, leaves came from AC Moore (in the silk flower section) , and the flowers are glitter die cuts (sorry once again I tossed the box- I have to stop doing that), I put rhinestones in the center of each
tools: cuttlebug embossing folder
The tag paper was for baby invitations- it was redirected to this. It is embossed with little tiny silver hearts on one side.
Another thank you card.
paper: DCWV- flocked paper
sentiment : Joann's Essentials
embellishments: satin ribbon
