Aren't women amazing! I have quite a few amazing women in my life, and I am thankful for them all!

This is not the last of the quick note cards. But I am working on some different designs these days. By my calculations I will need to make at 200-300 cards for my friends, family members and service workers. Yes that's right. I will also be giving some cards to Doctors, nurses and technicians that have been helping me or my son out for the past eons of years. I have so many ideas in my head, but it takes forever to transfer into reality. And no, I didn't say teachers because the only teachers that have really been helpful (besides my sister) are male, and I don't know if they would like the note cards...
Last night I worked on a machine I bought a few years ago. I don't think they are even selling it any more. The Letterpress. It's pretty cool, but very messy. So you will see some of those cards coming up soon. I got tired after I made about 60 cards. That was only 4 designs that I duplicated in different colors. I hate the ink you are supposed to use with it, so I just used regular dye ink by Stampin' Up. I wish the templates were metal so I could use them in my Wizard.

ReplyDeleteRae - I love how you have dimensionalised the sails! Amazing and beautiful images too. Very serene. I also like how you have photographed them beside the towels - that really brings out the colours. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

very pretty set of cards.love the way you added the ribbon to make it look like water.I saw your card at MIM.
ReplyDeleteI love all your cards!!! I think the male teachers may also like them. I also like the beautiful embossed white area.
ReplyDeleteWhat darling cards, Rae. I love the sailboat, the verse and the embossing. You are so clever. Having just retired from teaching, I know that the male teachers would appreciate a card also. My male neighbor saves all my cards and show them to all his friends. I am sorry that female teachers have not touched your lives. I just hope and pray that I have touched a few lives within 34 years. I love your positive attitude. Everyone will be happy to receive a note from you and especially a homemade one! Hugs (Saw your post on MIM and have to have a peek.)
ReplyDeleteI came over from Krafty Karen's blog and I am so glad I did. Your cards are beautiful! I love the attention to details you have. The word in the verse matched to the colour scheme of the card is so pretty. I love those sailboats and rick rack matched with the fancy embossing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your lovely ideas! :)
