Birthday card for a Co-worker who turned 60

A birthday card for Cpl. Sosnowy...

..."Live and Learn and Pass It On" for today:

I've learned that it's not what happens to people that's important. It's what they do about it.
Age 10

Now if a 10 year old can figure that out, why can't some adults?...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello! I was asked to make a card for our Corporal's 60th birthday. I usually require much more than one day's notice (for real!), but I tried my best to accommodate them. I hope this does not become a habit (smile)...anyway...I had to find a design I had already created. Sometimes I will just spend days thinking about the design, and I did not have that kind of time! This is NOT my original design, I found it on the Split Coast Stampers a long time ago, and I apologize for not knowing who originated it. This is my take...(2)
General Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill (creme); Specialty Paper: Me and My Big Ideas (tie), DCWV/The Black Currant Stack (shirt); Accents: Rhinestones/Walmart/Best Occasions, number stickers/Stickopotamus, Brads/JoAnn's Crafts; Other: Papier glass finish; Ink: Distress ink by Tim Holtz, Markers by JoAnn's Crafts, black glaze pen
P.S.
I almost didn't add the rhinestones, but I just wanted to see how they looked. Well...after I laid down a couple I thought I didn't like it. I tried to pull one up, and the paper started to tear. That's when I knew this design was "set in stone..." lol
Thanks for visiting, come back again!
Hugs!
  2. Well, this is a fabulous men's card! Looks much too time consuming to have made it into my latest post! lol! I love the papers you've paired up for this one! The tie paper looks just like it would be used for that purpose and the shirt paper looks like a linen or polyester up close! It's wonderful Rae! Great job on the placement of the rhinestones... see, they do work on a man's card! Thanks for sharing it. Luv & Hugs
