Day 273 4 365 Cards, No Christmas cards this post... : )

Happy Thursday! I checked out 365 cards and the paper I wanted to use for this card was being used for the challenge. How lucky for me. Now maybe I can get back in the swing at 365...

I made these quick cards for a coworker who needed them for Sympathy Thank you's. The inside reads: It is difficult to express all that your kindness and thoughtfulness has meant. We greatly appreciated all that was done in our time of need.

Supplies: paper/making memories flocked brocadestripe mocha andflocked brocade poolside paperie, The Paper Company cardstock, DCWV blue metallic; words/computer generated (inside and out); satin ribbon/AC Moore; cuttlebug folder
(I tried to keep these simple because they have to go through the mail)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think I was inspired by some of the artists I saw at one of the card conventions I attended
(with my friend Karen), when I sat down and made these cards. I really like how they turned out. Maybe one day I will submit them.
Supplies: (Unfortunately some of my supplies were not labeled, I'm getting better about keeping on top of what I am using these days, but these cards were made months ago)
paper/DCWV notecards, The paper company cardstock and notecards, vintage paper is unknown (possibly DCWV), rubber stamps/ unknown- I ordered them from the internet and they are not stamped on the back. Once they were removed from the packaging, that was it and that was so long ago...; flowers and leaves/AC Moore, brads/ AC Moore, flower sequins/dollar days, marker (on the lips), and folk art glass finish on the lips over the marker; glitter pen-stardust roll on
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is another card that is not my usual style. I was trying something different. Also inspired after a visit to a craft convention. This is a stenciled card.

Supplies: paper/metallic DCWV, animal print (unk), and cardstock (mat) The Paper Company; stencil/Dreamweaver; embossing paste/ bronze and gold by Dreamweaver, rhinestones/ Oriental Trading Co.

Thanks for visiting! R

  1. Hi Rachel,

    Your sympathy card came just in time. Someone order a few sympathy cards. I didn't know what to put inside. Your wording are perfect.

    The second cards are gorgeous! How did you do that?

    And my numbers are growing because you added them. (smile)
