Moxie Fab Challenge: Diggin on Damask!

DIGGIN' ON DAMASK!!
Quote for today:
The joy of giving is indeed a pleasure, especially when you get
rid of something you don't want. (unknown)

I laughed at this quote because I have been trying to purge. I am one of those people that will hold onto something forever, but if I have someone to give it to, I do not hesitate to turn it over. Why is it so easy to give things to someone else, even when you don't know what they will do with it. They could donate it for their taxes, give it away, or even throw it away. Yet once I have turned it over, I feel a large sense of satisfaction.

OK. Today is another Moxie Fab challenge, and I don't know how much this will qualify, but I do LOVE damask! I have two more posts to prove it! : ) But this is my favorite, so I'm posting this one first...

This is a photo from the Moxie Fab Blog. Just because I love pink so much, I took this one to show... This is actually a quilted diaper bag by Deerpath Designs (pretty, huh?)

My cards: If you have visited me, before you may remember I love doing multiple cards. I hate making just one card at a time. : )

My supplies: Cardstock: The Paper Company- white, lime green, teal blue; Patterned paper: damask (sorry, not sure); Sentiment: Michaels wood stamp; Other stamp(s): damask by Making Memories (Ornaments); Accents: square rhinestone brads by Making Memories; Ink: Stampin Up (going gray); Marker: JoAnn's (teal blue and light green); Tool: corner rounder by Creative Memories; Label: Martha Stewart; Sticker: K & Company (butterfly); Ribbon/Fiber: large rick rack/Walmart, green felt (Bethann)

This time I hope to post in time!

Quote for today:
It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
Steven Wright

This quote wasn't the original one I had in mind, but it made me laugh out loud, so I just had to use it! Hope you can find some appreciation of it. ;)

This time I hope to get it in on time! My internet connection has been acting up and last week I made my card for the trigger but was unable to load it! No difference tonight! : /

Another Tuesday Trigger!

I do love the Tuesday Trigger, but the Internet and Computer Gods are conspiring against me! : )

I wanted to do a sentiment, but couldn't decide. Congratulations, Sympathy, Birthday??? I will wait until I need it and then decide....

STAMP CAMP Fall 2010

Hi there. Just wanted to share with you the cards we made for the fall Stamp Camp. I was joined this year by my sister-in-law, Rose. I am so happy she loved it! We actually had 5 nice card projects this time. (You should have come, Jordan!) : )

My quote for today:

Give credit where credit is due. You'll find much of it reflects back on you. (unknown)

This first card is not from Stamp Camp. It is one of my designs. I started it back in May (Mother's Day) but left it partially blank to be completed when I needed it. Well, I recently needed it for a birthday card for a friend of mine who turned 60. So this is how I finished it...

This is a couple of the posters that were hanging up in the building where Stamp Camp was held...

And this one....(so true, so true...I try to tell this to my son...but he doesn't like to listen)...

Here are the cards. I really enjoyed all of the projects... There were five (X3) in all, fifteen cards, total. Someone WILL be getting these Christmas cards in the mail. :)

The snow man has a snowman magnet on the front that you pull off to use, and it reveals the same snowman underneath.

Thanks for coming to visit. As always, I greatly appreciate any and all comments that you take the time to leave!

HUGS! ,

Tuesday Trigger

Hello, good people!

I am making a brief appearance to submit a card for the Tuesday Trigger. I was lured by the colors of this photo. I think they are so pretty! I remembered some gorgeous paper I bought in the little town of Kennett Square in a "downtown" paper shop oh so long ago.... The papers are still beautiful. : )

My quote for today is:

To keep that good feeling you get from a compliment, pay one to someone else. (unknown)

I think this quote is quite appropriate, especially for bloggers/crafters. Kinda like a simple version of "pay it forward"?

Anyway, here's the "Tuesday Trigger..."

My take on it. As I said above, I particularly loved the colors, and that was my jumping off point.

Supplies: Cardstock- The Paper Company; Specialty paper- Rose and 2 shades of peach/ Kennett Square Paper Store; Acrylic- 3M Company; Stamps- Hero Arts (Creative Trees), Stampin Up (Whimsical words); Ink- Staz on Black; Other color medium- JoAnn's green marker; Tools-EK Success border scallop punch

That's it for this entry. I have been having a lot of internet trouble and it has taken me several days to be able to load this short entry. That is also the reason I have not been to more blogs and left comments. My internet is loading like dial up, or worse. Frequently it won't even load the page. Hopefully THIS problem will be rectified soon. Until then...

Thanks for visiting.....I do appreciate any and all comments!
